After being in storage for 16 months, today I finally retreived my stereo and set it up in my bedroom. It's much too loud for this little room, no, this entire apartment, but I never really turn it up past one-quarter of maximum volume. I put two blankets on the wall behind it to deaden the sound, but the fact that the floor is shaking tells me that won't change a whole lot. These walls are so thin that I can hear my neighbor's typewriter. There's a noise complaint here just waiting to happen.

Oh well, I'm so happy to have my stereo back. I've had this thing for almost ten years now.
